About Me
I am Prathna Rahul Mulchandani, a Grade 11 student at JBCN International School, Oshiwara, Mumbai. Access to healthcare is one of the most basic needs every human is entitled to. Due to a lack of finances, many people neglect their health issues and end up losing their life.
As someone who has closely seen people’s journeys of cancer treatment, I feel there is a lot more scope for improvement in the quality and availability of affordable cancer treatments in India. When people are diagnosed with cancer, especially in rural India, most people lose their lives due to a lack of cancer facilities and the inability to afford treatments in the cities.
I want to be the hope for cancer patients who wish to be cured but give up because they don’t have enough information or financial assistance to afford the treatment. Please support me in my initiative with your contribution
the reason and the solution
Just listening to the word “Cancer” instils fear not just in the mind of an individual, but also in the people around them. The treatment of cancer costs a fortune due to which most families lose their entire livelihood. Every person who is diagnosed with cancer is scared, lost and confused.
I aim to lend a helping hand to these underprivileged families because I believe no one should lose their life due to a lack of resources and give up on getting treated just because they don’t have money.
Most people diagnosed with cancer are either in their last stage or do not come from good financial backgrounds. Every day, 30-50 patients abandon their treatment due to a lack of funds. This fundraiser attempts to assure these people that being diagnosed with cancer is not their end and give them a promising start to their recovery.

what kind of help it will be
The amount raised through this fundraiser will entirely be used to aid cancer patients in their treatment such as chemotherapy, radiotherapy, immunotherapy, medications, any therapies or additional treatments, nutritional packages, prostheses, etc.
When a person is diagnosed with cancer, they lose hope. They start feeling that cancer is their end. I believe this is not true. Every person diagnosed with cancer can receive treatment and recover. So many people survive 4th stage cancer, recover, and lead better lives.
